Last November, a delegation of Fletcher and Tufts students joined leaders and policymakers from around the world in Glasgow for COP26, the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
One of the privileges of attending an institution like Fletcher is the opportunity to step outside the familiarity of your lived experiences, to make sense of the bigger picture and of the space that you occupy within it.”— Anand Gopal Mahindra

Dear Friends,
The world needs Fletcher now more than ever. We face a series of inflection points, from the future of the rules-based international order, to planetary health, to multilateralism. Fletcher continues to prepare today’s and tomorrow’s leaders to be problem solvers with the skills, perspectives, and intellectual agility necessary to have impact on fast-evolving and complex challenges.
We hear from alumni and their employers that Fletcher’s particular analytical strategy across a distinct interdisciplinary approach to global affairs provides the foundation and flexibility to lead through uncertainty.
The support provided by the individuals celebrated in this giving report is essential in equipping us to grow our reach and impact, and continue to build on our nearly 90-year legacy of defining and innovating the teaching and practice of global affairs.
These individuals include alumni, students, friends, and colleagues from all across the globe. Their gifts share a common goal: to ensure that what is valuable and vital at Fletcher today will be sustained and fortified in the years to come.
On behalf of Fletcher’s faculty, staff, and remarkable students, I want to express our gratitude for your financial support this past year. Your generosity allows us to continue to make bold choices, ensuring that our deepening and broadening research and education offering remains the destination of choice for those seeking to shape global affairs, whether from careers in public service, the private sector, or across international organizations and civil society.
Sincerely,
Rachel Kyte, CMG

“At a very basic level we've all been there. I haven't forgotten what it was like,” says Maitri Morarji, F05, director of programs at Foundation for a Just Society about how she still feels connected to Fletcher today.
“One of the central tenets of Tufts and Fletcher is to be civically engaged,” says Michael Klein, professor of international economic affairs at Fletcher and founding director of EconoFact. According to Klein, “EconoFact is a way that economists who are among the top researchers in the world in their areas can be civically engaged with a wider public.”
